Club History

The TSOA in South Australia was co-founded in 1965 by Tony Case (Hon Life Member 1993) and Ron Fergusson (dec) as the official factory-sponsored club for Triumph Sports Car owners. The factory backing ended in the 1970’s and the club has since broadened its scope to cover all Triumph cars.

Today the Association has over 250 members. The TR’s are still the most popular cars in the club but they also have significant numbers of Saloons (especially 2500PI and S models), Dolomite Sprints, Spitfires & GT6’s, and Stags. Probably a feature of TSOA is the great variety of interesting cars owned by the members.

The aim of the TSOA is to promote fellowship among Triumph enthusiasts and the preservation of Triumph cars. Monthly General Meetings are held at The Sporting Car Club in Unley, and members enjoy a very good monthly magazine, FasTRak (delivered electronically). Most months there is at least one run planned and anyone with a Triumph or a Triumph interest is welcome to join in.

The TSOA SA has a very active social scene and most MSCA competition events at Mallala or The Bend will have Triumphs competing.

In summary, the TSOA is a very active, open and friendly club for all Triumph enthusiasts.
