Socially Speaking – December 2012

I am writing this report following the fantastic run we had today for the ‘All Triumph Observation Run for the Tony Esau Memorial Trophy’, set by Ian and Raelene Rigby ….Wow what a day and what a run! Cryptic questions and for those of us who are competitive….what can I say?

Thanks to Ian and Raelene for a great run and to the ladies for providing the food for the club sponsored BBQ lunch and to Ian’s mate who assisted in the cooking of the meat. Congratulations to Alex and Sue Smithson who won the event,  Margie and I came a close second and Rory and Sue Gibson who came third.  Congratulations also to Chuck and Dianne who won the ‘nuts’ prize of the day with the count of the most bridges crossed on the run….or did they just guess???

The Christmas dinner is approaching with the Annual Trophy Presentation on Saturday 8th December at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club, I hope you have all booked in for this annual event.

The mid week run following Christmas is on Friday 28th December see flyer for information – and then another mid week run is scheduled on January 9th  – see the flyer.

We have received a flyer from the Mt Gambier Veteran and Vintage Car Club Inc contact Josh Crowe 0400256547 or fergytrekin@live.com.au re annual ‘Cave to Lake Tour’ from 25th -28th January 2013. Looks like a great event at a very reasonable cost – contact Josh for more information.

The informal club meeting for January is scheduled for January 15th at the club rooms – this is the night that the ladies head off for gelato and coffee and we have a bloke’s night inn….a great way to start the year.

The annual Ice Cream run is scheduled for Sunday 27th January – bring along your family and friends and enjoy an ice cream/coffee and the fun for the beginning of 2013.
