www.tsoasa.com

Good news fellow Triumph enthusiasts . . . the Club website is finally clear of the damage done by recent hackers, and we can now get back to business!

If you are interested in what went on with our site, have a look at https://www.zdnet.com/article/over-a-million-godaddy-managed-wordpress-sites-cracked/ and you will understand that this has been no mean feat for our technical gurus to overcome.

The first issue for most of you is that the previous registration authorisations have been lost. That means, if you want access to the club site you will need to re-register by sending a request to Roger at rogncher44@gmail.com advising him of your preferred User Name and your mobile phone number. A temporary password will then be issued to you, and you will then be operational.

When you have a look at our site, you will notice some minor changes, but we have endeavoured to get it back to pretty much what we had before. The Classifieds work a little differently, and the Calendar isn’t as pretty (but we’re working on it). Submitting a post of your most recent Triumph news, together with photos, remains the same, so don’t hesitate to have a go.

Something that we are trying to develop is the look of the home page, where new and previous posts will appear as a title only, so that you can click on that to go to the full post. This will tidy up the look of the Home Page quite a bit.

So, onwards and upwards . . . or “On the Marque and Up To Speed” as we say it within our TSOA circle!

Socially Speaking for January/February 2021

Happy New Year everyone, and I hope 2021 is a better one for everyone.

Our condolences go to Mike Temby who advised that Trina had passed away late last year, from Cancer. Our thoughts are with Mike, Megan, and Dale during this difficult time.

The end of year social dinner went well with 35 participants, and everyone enjoyed the evening.

Thirty-five people attended the after Christmas Run, which saw us have morning coffee at Uraidla and then onto Hahndorf for lunch – Hahndorf was so busy!! It was great to see some new faces, and a few spitfires on the run.

Congratulations to Roger and Cherri Lange on their 50th Wedding Anniversary in late January.

The Ice Cream Run on the 23rd January, although a hot day, it was pleasant driving along the waterfront with the sun setting.  Twelve cars braved the heat, and we meet 4 members at Noonies for Ice Creams.  It was lovely to see Lorna Ellery join us – she is working on Arrand’s car, and just needs to get the lights fixed, and she will  be on Club  runs in the TR6.

Hey fellow Triumph enthusiasts!

With time on our hands being isolated at home for the duration, however long that may be, I am sure a lot of you are out in the garage doing some work on your Triumph that has been waiting for just the right time and your own enthusiasm and inclination.

Well, given that everything is cancelled and we won’t be mixing and mingling for a while, why not share your Triumph story on the club website? Log on, go to the top left hand corner of the Home screen and click on “Dashboard” and then “Posts” and follow your nose. You can even add photos to your post – “Add Media” and give it a go. Have a play! You can’t break it . . .

Contact me if you want same help with anything . . . I’m free, at home, in the garage playing with my Triumphs!

I might even post an update on my own project – now there’s an idea!

Stay sane and healthy people, and always have a cold Corona ready for enjoyment!

Roger
